Summary:  These instructions explain how to set up a mobile device to send and receive your Office 365-hosted emails.  If you already receive emails to this address on your mobile device, please delete that account before starting.



What you will need:


1/ A primary mailbox in Office 365

2/ The username & Password to your Office 365 Account

Android Instructions

> Option One: Using the Outlook App (Recommended)



Please ensure your Android device is up to date before following these instructions.




To connect to a Primary Mailbox using the Outlook App

(Note. from 23-5-22, Outlook for Android will require Android 8.0 or above)



On the device, download MICROSOFT OUTLOOK from the Google Play Store


Now Open OUTLOOK on the device


Click ADD ACCOUNT


Email:  {enter your Office 365 email address} > Click CONTINUE


Password:  {enter your Office 365 password} > Click SIGN IN


At the prompt "would you like to add another account", click MAYBE LATER


Scroll through the Tips (or click SKIP)







To connect to a Shared Mailbox using Outlook App:



On the device, connect your Primary Mailbox first (instructions above)


Open Outlook on your device


Tap the following icon:  





Tap the following icon:  


                   



click ADD SHARED MAILBOX


enter the address of the shared mailbox (ie. "sales@yourdomain.co.uk")


Click CONTINUE


Your Shared Mailbox has now been added.



To switch between mailboxes, tap this icon again:



 


Tap the desired mailbox to move between each one



       




Android Instructions

> Option Two: Using the EMAIL App for Android



Open the EMAIL APP


Tap OFFICE 365


At Sign,  enter your Office 365 email address


click NEXT


If prompted select WORK OR SCHOOL


Click NEXT


Enter your Office 365 password


Click SIGN IN


At prompt for "Permissions Requested", click ACCEPT


Click DONE, then DONE


At the prompt "allow email to remotely control security features, click ACTIVATE


Tap INBOX


Click the COG (top right)


Tap your email address


Turn on the desired SYNC settings.
