The Microsoft Windows Operating System is made up of thousands of files which (by default) are hidden.
They are completely benign and necessary for the stability and functionality of your computer.
If you have reported the presence of unrecognised files on your laptop (and we have shared this article with you), then it is because we know the files you have reported to us are safe to ignore. We strongly recommend you do not try to delete any files that we have approved, but instead HIDE them from view using the instructions below.
Open File Explorer on the effected computer
On the toolbar, click VIEW
Click OPTIONS
Click "change folder and search options"
Click the VIEW tab
Ensure the following 5 boxes are ticked, then click APPLY:
The files you saw earlier will no longer be visible.
